Winner!

The complete bike is the winner. This is following the logic that the price differential between Cannondale frameset alone and the complete bike is not that much. I can have the bike sooner (assuming they are still making the 2008 model) and ride it sooner. I can still spend time over the winter replacing bits that fall off or break as the basic components are, well, er, basic. I can take my time and upgrade / make it mine over time.

Now that the decision is made pray tell me, dear reader, where the devil can I find a 2008 56cm Cannondale Capo in black? I bet I've noodled this for so long I'm going to have to wait for the 2009 *ulp*.

The other black bike gets used a few times a week for early morning commuting fun but not much more than that. That's another decision I need to make. It's all paid off so I'm not losing money, but against that it could be cash earning interest for a house in OBX..
